Job summary

Staples Canada, operating as Bureau en Gros, is seeking a warehouse associate in Amherst, Nova Scotia. You will receive, store and move products, operate forklift, pallet jacks, cherry picker and use hand-held scanners under the supervision of a warehouse supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) months' related experience in a warehouse environment.

• Ability and interest to become certified in the operation of warehouse equipment.

Some of what you will do:

Receive, store, and move product s around the warehouse using equipment. Perform work under the direction of warehouse supervisor or manager.

Specifically, You Will

• Perform duties using equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.
• Ensure accuracy of orders received and examine any discrepancies.
• Use hand-held scanner s to enter product information while ensuring accuracy.
• Contribute to the efficient operation of warehouse activities through teamwork with co-workers in warehouse, drivers and purchasing personnel.
• Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties.

• The e mployee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. The e mployee may lift, lower , or carry products up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand .
• T he employee will operate warehouse equipment. Using proper safety procedures will eliminate any potential hazards.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
