Contrans Vrac in Woodstock, Ontario is seeking a full-time Company Driver to join our team. Openings: 5. Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, loading/unloading bulk products, tarp operations, and trailer maintenance.

The role requires crossing Canada–US borders and adherence to safety procedures. Qualified candidates will have a valid AZ license, a good CVOR, and a clean driver’s abstract, with a minimum of 3 years heavy haul or 5 years over-the-road experience.

Competenze

• Must be physically fit to climb 12’ in & out of dump trailers.
• Must be able to lift 20–25 kg of material in & out of trailers.
• Must be able to cross various borders between Canada and the U.S.
• Minimum of 3 years heavy haul experience or 5 years over the road experience.
• AZ license is required.
• Good CVOR and clean drivers abstract.

Mansioni

• Pre-trip inspections and checking systems (involve lifting and turning components).
• Loading and off-loading bulk/dump products.
• Tarping trailers and securing loads.
• Cleaning trailers after unloading and preparing for next load.
• Removal of equipment or cross bows as needed on top of trailers.
• Operate tractor and manage gear shifts during driving.
• Walk on uneven ground at loading facilities.
• Resolve equipment malfunctions and jammed doors or bows.
• Maintain logs and paperwork (logbook, trip envelopes).

• Type: Full Time - Single - Company Driver
• Openings: 5

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pre-trip inspections(Involve walking, bending, lifting and releasing the kingpin from the fifth wheel, approximately 50 pounds pulling force and winding dolly legs up or down, approximately 10 pounds force on the crank)
• Loading and off loading Bulk / Dump products
• Tarping (Opening and closing the trailer tarp on dump trailers, approximately15 pounds force twisting the tarp crank to open and up to 60 pounds pulling to close)
• Cleaning Trailers out (Sweeping the trailer after unloading – climbing,bending and walking.)
• Cleaning Trailers with Frozen product in side
• Removal of cross bows along the top of trailer (Requires hammer to removeall 10 cross bows)
• Climbing in and out of the tractor (approximately but not limiting to 2-4times daily)
• Driving (Driving can vary between 1 to 4 hours sitting and shifting thetransmission)
• Walking on uneven ground at different facilities while loading and off loading
• Dealing with Malfunctioning equipment (Trailer doors could get stuck,Trailer bows not easily coming out, issues with trapping system that may need extra force)
• Knowledge of axle weights
• Safe operation of equipment

Employment Requirements:
