Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical drafting, preferably in building consultancy engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is an asset.
• Familiarity with HVAC and plumbing systems in commercial or institutional buildings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret drawings and markups.
• Understanding of construction documentation and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise mechanical drawings for HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing systems.
• Develop and maintain accurate construction drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Assist with the preparation of mechanical layouts, equipment schedules, details, and drawing sets.
• Coordinate mechanical drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, and other building systems.
• Incorporate markups and design changes from engineers and senior designers.
• Assist with drawing reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards.
• Support project teams throughout the design and construction documentation process.

About the Opportunity: An established building consulting engineering firm in Edmonton is looking to add a Mechanical Drafter to its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in mechanical drafting who wants to contribute to a diverse range of building projects while continuing to develop their technical skills within a collaborative engineering environment. Key Responsibilities
