Job summary

TCU Place is seeking an experienced Building Operations Supervisor to oversee the operation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of building systems. This permanent, full-time position provides technical and supervisory leadership, coordinates maintenance activities and contractors, supports preventative maintenance programs, and ensures the facility operates safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education.
• Two-year post-secondary diploma in Power Engineering or equivalent.
• Fourth-Class Power Engineer's Licence with TSASK.
• Refrigeration Engineer's Licence with TSASK.
• Five years of progressively responsible facility operations experience.
• Three years of supervisory experience.
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence.
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR C/AED certification.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Ability to obtain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

• Plan, assign, supervise, and inspect maintenance work to ensure safe and efficient completion.
• Perform and oversee maintenance, installation, and repair of building systems, equipment, fixtures, and structures.
• Coordinate and monitor work completed by internal and external trades and contractors.
• Assign and track preventative and corrective maintenance through CMMS/SAP.
• Assist with prioritizing operational and capital work.
• Lead safety meetings and maintain required safety, incident, and compliance documentation.
• Promote a safe and respectful workplace and ensure compliance with applicable legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Respond to facility issues and prioritize work based on safety and operational needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressively responsible facility operations experience, including HVAC, building systems maintenance, and mechanical operations.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience.
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence and ability to provide a satisfactory SGI driver's abstract.
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR C/AED certification.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Ability to obtain a satisfactory Criminal Record Check upon offer of employment.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
