Job summary

Dream Unlimited is seeking a Building Operator for our Toronto Downtown area. You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and life safety systems, respond to tenant requests, and help maintain safety and appearance of the property.

This full-time role offers a base salary of $65,000–$75,000 CAD, plus a performance-based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation, personal days, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in building operations and maintenance.
• Comfortable using tools and equipment.
• Experience in a commercial/office/retail environment.
• BES Operator Class I & II Certificates (completed or enrolled).
• Familiar with safety and fire codes and WHMIS procedures.
• Proactive in identifying and solving problems.
• Team player who can work independently.
• Strong computer and communications skills.
• Valid driver’s license is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, mechanical and life safety systems.
• Complete tenant service calls professionally (lights, heating/cooling, etc.).
• Oversee appearance and safety of the property.
• Operate Building Automation and Security systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions.
• Oversee contractors and service providers per contracts.
• Communicate with Operations Manager/Senior Operator/Property Management.
• Conduct daily inspections via the TAP reporting system.
• Contact suppliers, obtain quotes, order materials.
• On-call or weekend shifts as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
