Job summary

RONA is seeking a DDC Building Attendant in Quebec. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of infrastructure across DDC sites in Quebec.

You will inspect sites, perform repairs, and ensure safety standards are met while maintaining equipment records. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in building maintenance, a technical diploma, a valid driver's license, and solid hands-on skills in electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• A technical diploma or skill cards (an asset)
• A valid driver's license.
• Strong technical skills (electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.).
• Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage emergencies.
• Possess basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect buildings and equipment at various sites.
• Maintain identified equipment on a regular basis and keep a record of this maintenance.
• Participate in the planning and execution of preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose breakdowns, identify their causes, and propose solutions.
• Perform necessary repairs or equipment replacement.
• Perform minor renovation work (painting, installing coverings, repairing partitions, etc.).
• Manage equipment inventory and relationships with suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with current safety and compliance standards, in partnership with the Asset Protection and Health and Safety teams.
• Perform all other related tasks.
