Job Summary

In a warehouse environment, perform a variety of activities related to the storage and shipping of raw material and/or finished product in order to support the overall operation and exceed customer expectations.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform sorting, stacking, cleaning, washing, stocking and inspection of cartons, pallets, or parts as assigned to support the operation
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and effectively
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Maintain cleanliness in common areas, restrooms, and workspaces, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Address employee requests and concerns regarding facility maintenance in a professional manner
  • Role will focus primarily on…
    • Grounds maintenance
    • Painting & cleaning walls, doors
    • Window/mirror cleaning
    • Trash/recycling removal
    • Wipe down and sanitizes surfaces in common areas…cafeterias, coffee areas
    • Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms
    • Handles leaf and snow removal as needed
    • Vacuuming & mopping
    • Cleans light fixtures
    • Maintains inventory of consumables, cleaning supplies etc.
    • Coordinates with subcontractors for special services…i.e. carpet wash etc.
    • Other tasks as instructed by Maintenance Supervisor
    • Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of general repair techniques
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Must be able to work from heights
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound understanding of hand and power tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, impact drills)
  • Proactive and positive attitude towards addressing maintenance needs

Preferred Requirements

  • 2-3 years of previous experience in facility maintenance, janitorial work, or a related field in an industrial environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to operate a forklift
