Job summary

Aon is seeking a Senior Financial Lines Broker to join its Toronto-based Financial Services Group (FSG). You will manage a diverse D&O and related financial lines portfolio for private and public company clients, delivering exceptional service and executing complex placements.

You will structure, market, and negotiate programmes with insurers, collaborate with account management and sales teams, and prepare client-facing submissions and documentation. Hybrid role with Smart Working policy.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial insurance broking or underwriting with exposure to D&O and related coverages (EPL, Fiduciary Liability, Crime).
• Strong analytical and technical skills for understanding complex risks and insurance solutions.

Aon is seeking a Senior Financial Lines Broker to join our Financial Services Group (FSG) in Toronto. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of Directors & Officers (D&O) and related financial lines business, work with a broad range of clients, and contribute to delivering exceptional client outcomes.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Toronto office, in line with our Smart Working policy.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.

The salary range for this position is $84,930 - $110,390. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

In this role, you will be a key member of Aon's Toronto-based Financial Services Group, focused on Directors & Officers (D&O) and related financial lines for private and public company clients. You will manage a substantial and diverse portfolio of business, delivering exceptional service, executing complex placements, and supporting initiatives that enhance how we serve clients.

You will:

• Collaborate closely with Account Management and Sales teams on programme design, strategy, and client presentations.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality placement submissions, proposals, and client-facing documentation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with underwriters and market partners while staying informed on industry trends, market developments, and emerging risks.
• Support the use of tools, analytics, and D&O-focused solutions that provide valuable insights to clients.
• Contribute to team initiatives and support a culture of collaboration, responsiveness, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
