Arcadis is seeking a Bridge Engineer to join our Design and Engineering team in our Mobility business area. This position can be based out of any of our offices in Canada.
You will have progressive experience in the design and construction of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation-related structures. You will also have experience in leading the design development of new bridges and bridge rehabilitations, and in undertaking bridge inspections, investigations, and assessment report preparation. In this role, you will be involved in solving complex problems, coaching and mentoring junior staff, project management, and coordinating various disciplines on bridge-related projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of preliminary and detailed designs of bridges, culverts, and other transportation-related structures including performing structural analysis and calculations. You will prepare reports and contract documents, coordinate and review drawing production, and communicate with other disciplines to assure project collaboration. You will be responsible for construction liaison and site inspections of bridges and civil structures as well as quality control/quality assurance. You will also have a passion for mentoring, coaching, and inspiring team members as well as assisting with preparing Business Development (BD) proposals in bidding for new work.
