What’s the Job?

The Breakfast Cook helps start guests' days with hearty breakfasts, working overnight to prepare all items as per contract scope, maintaining cleanliness and presentation, and demonstrating organizational skills.

The role involves a remote camp lifestyle with amenities including:

• All meals and accommodations provided
• Travel from designated locations in Winnipeg, Red Lake, and surrounding areas
• Private room with cable TV
• Wi-Fi access
• Laundry facilities and detergents
• Gym and common areas

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast for guests
• Maintain consistent quality and consider dietary constraints
• Ensure equipment safety, operation, and sanitation
• Comply with food safety regulations
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
• Follow production quotas and budget guidelines
• Properly store and rotate food supplies

Qualifications

Who Are We Looking For?

• Experience in high-volume hot breakfast service
• Current Food Safe certification
• Experience in camp, banquet, or hotel kitchens is a plus
• Red Seal or similar certifications are assets
• Experience with inventory management and baking
• Supervisory experience is a plus
• Team player committed to client satisfaction
• Valid government-issued ID for travel
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, stand, walk, and perform repetitive hand work

Work Schedule and Remuneration

Rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/2 weeks off at $22.48/hr, with remote site locations accessible by air or ground shuttle. Night, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
