Job summary

LandSea Camp Services, part of the Aramark Canada family, seeks a Breakfast Baker to prepare breakfast and baked items at remote BC camps. The role includes on-site meals, on-site housing, and long shift schedules.

The position requires 3–5 years in breakfast/baker roles, strong baking skills, and English communication. Lodging, meals, and uniforms may be provided; travel may be involved, with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years' previous experience as a breakfast cook, line cook or baker.
  • High production baking with 70% scratch baking.
  • Knowledge of breakfast food preparation and cooking techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast items (eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles, meats).
  • Set up and stock cooking stations before service.
  • Ensure food prepared to recipes and quality standards.

About Working in Remote Camps
  • Our camps are located in remote areas and staff live on-site on scheduled shifts and leave camp on scheduled breaks.
  • Most of our LandSea camps offer individual staff accommodation, ensuite or shared bathroom, full meals, WIFI and some have health/gym facilities for staff.
  • Camp staff work long hours and multiple days in a row. A typical workday is between 10-12 hours (day or night shift) and overtime rates apply.
  • Health and Safety and a Respectful Workplace are essential for everyone working together at LandSea. Our camps are drug and alcohol-free workplaces and require pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

The Breakfast Baker / Housekeeper is a combined role responsible for preparing breakfast and service, plus preparing all baked items, as outlined in a predetermined menu plan and also housekeepping duties.

About the Job, Benefits and Perks
  • Temporary position starting as soon as possible and ending December 21, 2026
  • Wages starting between $22.57 to $25.65 per hour
  • Overtime pay Schedule: 10-hour or 12-hour shiftsdepending on operational needs
  • Rotation: 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off, 3 weeks on and 1 week off or 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off
  • Travel Subsidy may be available for inbound and outbound travel

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years'previousexperience as a breakfast cook, line cook,bakeror similar role
  • High production baking experience while maintaining a minimum of 70% scratch baking
  • Knowledge of breakfast food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Food Safe Certification is an asset
  • Great communication. Speak, read and write English
  • Team player who can provide support, motivation, and encouragement to others
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Breakfast Baker
  • Prepare and cook breakfast items such as eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles, breakfast meats, and other menu offerings.
  • Set up and stock cooking stations before service.
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, portion standards, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor food inventory and notify management of supply needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food products.
  • Work efficiently during busy breakfast service periods.
  • Support other kitchen staff as needed.
  • Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations after service.
  • Make beds, change linens, comforters and towels
  • Remove garbage and dust shelving
  • Sweep and vacuum the mudroom, hallway, and entranceways
  • Check inbound and outbound guest lists for room changeover. Report changes and cleaned items
  • Ensure bathrooms are cleaned each day (floors, toilets, shower stalls, sinks, and mirrors)
  • Replenish toilet paper, paper towels and soap
  • Keep the laundry room tidy; dust and sweep daily, mop every other day
  • Keep linen storage clean and organized

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
