Job summary

Sure Stay by Best Western - Ridgetown Inn in Ridgetown, ON is seeking a reliable Breakfast Attendant / Maintenance Associate to ensure a positive breakfast experience for guests while assisting with general property upkeep.

You will greet guests, maintain cleanliness, handle food safety and basic repairs, and support preventive maintenance in a friendly hotel environment that values service and teamwork. This is a stable opportunity with both part-time and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Handler Certification is an asset.
• Previous maintenance or handyman experience is an asset.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare the breakfast area before service
• Replenish food, beverages, and supplies during breakfast hours
• Ensure food presentation and quality standards are maintained
• Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, kitchen space, and dining room
• Greet guests and provide friendly, helpful service
• Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
• Clean and break down the breakfast area after service
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the property
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for maintenance issues
• Address plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair needs as assigned
• Maintain outdoor areas, including seasonal upkeep and cleanliness
• Ensure hotel equipment and facilities are functioning properly
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and property inspections

• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
