Job summary

Skye Hotel Ridgetown is seeking a Breakfast Attendant / Maintenance Associate to ensure a warm breakfast experience while assisting with maintenance around the property. You will set up the breakfast area, restock items, greet guests, and help uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

The role requires reliable, customer-focused individuals with strong communication and attention to detail who can work early mornings, weekends, and holidays, and assist with basic repairs and upkeep as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, food service, maintenance, or related field is an asset.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair work.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and versatile Breakfast Attendant / Maintenance Associate to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for ensuring a positive breakfast experience for guests while also assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the hotel property. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, hands-on, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare the breakfast area before service
• Replenish food, beverages, and supplies during breakfast hours
• Ensure food presentation and quality standards are maintained
• Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, kitchen space, and dining room
• Greet guests and provide friendly, helpful service
• Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
• Clean and break down the breakfast area after service

Maintenance Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs throughout the property
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for maintenance issues
• Address plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repair needs as assigned
• Maintain outdoor areas, including seasonal upkeep and cleanliness
• Ensure hotel equipment and facilities are functioning properly
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and property inspections

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality, food service, maintenance, or a related field is an asset
