Job summary

Holiday Inn Express is seeking a breakfast attendant to help ensure clean, welcoming, and high-quality breakfast service for guests in Canada. You will set up and break down the breakfast bar, greet guests, and maintain cleanliness across all breakfast areas.

You will restock items, make coffee, attend to guest needs, and assist with other hotel areas as needed. Flexibility to work weekends and various shifts is required, with training provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience is an asset; however, the employer is willing to train the right individual.
• You must be legally entitled to work in Canada as the employer does not have a labour market option that would support a foreign worker.

Responsibilities

• Set up and breakdown breakfast bar items.
• Greet and acknowledge guests when they arrive.
• Buss and clean tables.
• Straighten chairs and properly arrange furniture.
• Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast areas.
• Restock drink and food items and other supplies according to Holiday Inn Express Standards.
• Make fresh coffee as needed.
• Empty trash receptacle.
• At the close of breakfast bar hours, clean the entire breakfast area, empty trash receptacles, store or dispose of all drinks, food items and supplies in accordance with operating standards and health codes and prepare for the following day.
• Clean all equipment and properly store it according to standards.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining other areas of the hotel.
• Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints.
• Must be willing and available to work any shifts, including weekends.
• Other job duties as delegated by your supervisor

The breakfast attendant is responsible for achieving, maintaining customer service and product quality standards for the delivery of breakfast.

A breakfast attendant's job function includes:
