Brand Manager: Maternity Leave Contract Position (July 2025-August 2026)
Job Description:
Ocean Brands brand manager is responsible for building strong consumer brands that resonate with today’s consumer.You will be integral in creating breakthrough campaigns and communicating our brand positioning and messages through traditional and social channels for Gold Seal and Millionnaires.Working closely with agencies and our sales team, you will develop programs that will support these brands with Canadian consumers and retailers.You will also be responsible for measuring the success of your efforts to deliver on our shared objectives.In this role you will be a part of our dynamic innovation team as we disrupt the ambient seafood category to grow beyond our current offerings.

Skills:
·Degree/certificate in Marketing or a related discipline
·Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
·Deep knowledge of social media and connecting consumers with brands.
·Experience/Knowledge of consumer-packaged goods or the seafood industry an asset.
·Experience with Nielsen data and/or retailer specific data is an asset.
·Creative, detail oriented, analytical, strategic thinker, with excellent communication skills.
·Ability to execute and coordinate a diverse group of projects across functional areas.
·Proficient in Microsoft platform: Excel, Word, Power Point.
Responsibilities:
·Create and execute annual brand plans.
·Works with agency partners to create brand campaigns and multi-channel annual brand plans.
·Conduct analytics using syndicated or customer-based data to uncover trends or to refine strategies.
·Evaluates performance of social media channels and works with partner agency to optimize consumer engagement.
·Presents annual plans and opportunities collaboratively with sales when required.
·Works collaboratively with sales to create retailer specific program and promotions aligned with brand voice and overall strategy.
·Owns the development and execution of new product launches.
How we will support you:
·This is a 13-month contract covering a maternity leave. Salary is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $75,000-$86,000 and will include a 3-month probationary period.
·3 weeks unpaid vacation- with 4% vacation pay, included in pay periods.
·After 3 months you will be able to join the Ocean Brands extended benefits program (prescriptions, dental, physio, massage).
·Pay is bi-monthly and summer hours (1/2 day Friday) are in effect from May long weekend through September long weekend.
