Brand Development Manager - Southern Alberta (Fully Remote)

Job Summary :

Specialized Bicycles is seeking a dynamic and strategic Brand Development Manager for our Southern Alberta territory to oversee and enhance our market presence within a designated area. This key role involves maximizing sell-in, sell-through, and market share across all sales channels. The manager will implement and execute sales strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives and growth plans. Responsibilities include managing the Specialized ecosystem, developing the existing retailer network, and identifying expansion opportunities to increase total market share. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the retail landscape, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and possess a passion for driving growth and building lasting retailer relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

Independent Bicycle Retail (IBR) :

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with independent bicycle retailers to foster loyalty and collaboration. Develop a visit plan to support existing partnerships through consistent, impactful visits, engaging frequently with top partners.
  2. Ensure the full product line is represented and secure floor space for maximum brand visibility.
  3. Support new product launches (NPI) by ensuring representation at launch and availability in all premium partners.
  4. Develop and expand the retail network, identifying new growth opportunities and enhancing market presence.
  5. Identify and establish new channels and partners for products like Globe and Turbo.
  6. Ensure IBR partners are well-versed in brand knowledge through education initiatives.

Specialized.com :

  1. Create a seamless rider journey by integrating click-and-collect and promotional programs.
  2. Incorporate Specialized.com into the overall channel strategy for a cohesive approach.

Other :

  1. Represent Specialized Bicycles at industry events, trade shows, and relevant activities to promote the brand and network with stakeholders.
  2. Gather and report customer feedback to improve products, services, and customer experience.
  3. Utilize the Specialized University (SU) training platform to stay informed about products, market trends, and sales techniques, ensuring high product knowledge.
  4. Analyze market conditions and competitor activities regularly to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  5. Report all retailer interactions and activities using Salesforce for accurate record-keeping.
  6. Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
