Job summary

EarthFresh is seeking energetic Brand Ambassadors for its Mobile Potato Cooker Program. You will travel within the GTA to promote EarthFresh products at major grocery stores and events, building brand equity and supporting new and existing products.

The role runs 4–6 weeks, with a schedule Thu-Sun (Thu/Fri 9am–7pm; Sat/Sun 8am–6pm) and potential extra days based on demand. Applicants must be 21+ to drive company vehicles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or in progress.
• Post-secondary education in progress or recent graduate.
• Food Handlers certification is an asset.
• Ontario driver’s license (G) with clean abstract required.

Responsibilities

• Distribute baked potatoes from EarthFresh cooker tent to the public, maintaining a positive attitude.
• Safely prepare and cook the baked potatoes per GMPs and cooker protocols.
• Record daily and hourly oven/cooler temperatures with date, location and time plus notes.
• Drive the EarthFresh pick-up truck and connect the cooker to store locations within the GTA.
• Set up and tear down EarthFresh tent.
• Coordinate with the manager to stock supplies and condiments.
• Work with inside sales to order potatoes as needed for the week.
• Process expenses with accounting as required and approved by manager.
• Display and condense setup and clean-up before/after each day.
• Follow GMPs to maintain clean, tidy workplace.
• Record hours daily via Dayforce software.
• Perform other duties related to the promotional program as required.

We are looking for outgoing, high-energy and spud loving individuals to become EarthFresh Brand Ambassadors to promote our new products! If you enjoy being outdoors, being independent but also working with a small team and interacting with the public, then joining our Mobile Potato Cooker Program is the job for you! The Brand Ambassador will travel within Greater Toronto Area (GTA) to promote our line of products at major grocery stores and events to build brand equity and market new and existing EarthFresh products.

Please note this is a 4-6 week contract.

Working Hours: Thursday to Sunday (Thurs/Fri 9am-7pm; Sat/Sun 8am-6pm), with potential of additional work days depending on work demands.

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older to drive company-provided rental vehicles as part of this role.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School Diploma
• Post-secondary education in progress or recent graduate
• Food Handlers certification (an asset)
• Hold a valid Ontario driver’s license (G) and clean driver’s abstract

Experience & Skills:

• 1-2 years’ experience in customer service/promotional marketing role in a retail environment
• 1-2 years’ experience driving a truck/pulling a trailer
• Experience working with ovens, stovetops, propane, or in a culinary setting with knowledge of food safety / health & safety principles
• Proficient in MS Office
• Knowledge of consumer products and fresh produce is an asset
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)
• Positive attitude and welcoming demeanor
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
• Proven ability to work independently with excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift 50-75lbs

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Distribute baked potatoes from EarthFresh cooker tent to general public while upholding a positive and professional attitude at all times.
2. Safely prepare and cook the baked potatoes as directed by EarthFresh Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and cooker protocols.
3. Daily and hourly temperature record keeping of both oven and cooler temperatures, making sure to accurately note the date, location and time including comments.
4. Drive EarthFresh pick-up truck and hitched cooker to various store locations within the GTA.
5. Proper set-up and tear-down of EarthFresh tent.
6. Coordinate with manager to ensure supplies and condiments are fully stocked.
7. Work with inside sales department to order potatoes as required for the week.
8. Process expenses with the accounting department as required, approved by manager.
9. Proper display and condiment set up and clean-up before and after each day.
10. Follow EarthFresh GMPs as they relate to the cooker program to ensure a clean and tidy workplace.
11. Accurately record working hours daily via Dayforce software.
12. Other duties and responsibilities as required, related to the promotional program.
