Job summary

Ply Gem Canada, supported by Cornerstone Building Brands, is hiring a Branch Warehouse Associate in Kelowna. You will move and store materials, sort goods, and help keep inventories accurate in a fast-paced warehouse environment on site.

Join a team that values reliability, safety and teamwork. You will load and unload shipments, pick orders, and maintain orderly storage while following safety procedures; prior warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, construction, or material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Ability to read and understand shipping paperwork, labels, and basic instructions.
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license preferred; ability to ride along on delivery routes required.
• Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures.
• Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and carrying heavy items.
• Use of PPE required (gloves, steel-toe boots, etc.).
• Completion of High School / GED

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and other vehicles for transporting goods.

A Branch Warehouse Associate candidate will possess the knowledge to simplify workload and keep everything in order. Some of their skills include:

• Excellent organizational, communication and multitasking skills.
• Knowledge of transporting or storing materials.
• Understanding of inventory and shipping procedures.
• Previous experience driving 5 ton trucks (preferred, not required)
• Awareness of Safety and Security measures in place to prevent injuries.
• Understanding of how to dispose of waste material in a safe manner
• Ability to use computer technology to track inventory, and keep a record of storage
• Ability to work well with others
