Vancity, Canada’s largest private-sector Living Wage Employer, is seeking a Branch Manager for the West End Community Branch (Branch 47). Based in Vancouver, you will lead operations, drive member experience, and grow business through people leadership and strategic execution.

You'll oversee planning, staff development, community engagement, and financial performance, delivering high-value financial advice and services to support members’ long-term wellbeing. This role is full-time and permanent.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of people-management experience in financial services.
  • Minimum 2 years of business development experience with measurable outcomes.
  • At least 5 years of overall experience in the financial industry or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Vancity products, policies, procedures, systems, and tools.

Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Branch Manager, you will lead branch operations, optimize member experience, and drive business development through exceptional people leadership and strategic execution within one of our small-sized community branches. You will oversee operational planning, staff development, community engagement, and financial performance, ensuring members receive high-value financial advice and services that support their long-term well-being. This role is ideal for a collaborative, community-driven leader who thrives in dynamic environments and inspires teams to deliver excellence.

This is a Full-time, Permanent role supporting a small branch and based at our West End Community Branch (Branch 47) and will report directly to the Senior Regional Director, Inclusive Banking.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Delivering on financial objectives and performance targets for the branch
  • Developing, coordinating, and monitoring branch activities to ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Building branch visibility and brand awareness to strengthen community presence and drive business growth
  • Leveraging Vancity’s full suite of products and services to meet member needs
  • Coaching and guiding staff to achieve excellence in advice, service, and member experience
  • Analyzing operational processes to identify efficiencies and areas for continuous improvement
  • Supporting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and member‑centric service
  • Diagnosing operational or member‑related issues and identifying effective solutions

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Minimum 3 years of people-management experience in a financial services environment
  • Minimum 2 years of business development experience with demonstrated measurable outcomes
  • At least 5 years of overall experience in the financial industry or a related field
  • Strong business acumen and applied knowledge of financial products, advice, and service delivery
  • Advanced knowledge of Vancity products, policies, procedures, systems, and tools
  • Advanced understanding of Vancity strategies, functions, and programs
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

  • Completion of IFIC or CSC
  • Completion of three CFP-eligible courses
  • Completion of Vancity-aligned coaching modules

What You’ll Earn:

The salary range for this role is $96,600 to $125,100 per annum. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
