Due to growth, we are looking for a Branch Manager to join Menard Canada Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the Western Division Director, the Branch Manager will be responsible for increasing the company's presence and establishing a new Edmonton office. This role is ideal for a Geotechnical Engineer with an entrepreneurial spirit. • Project Leadership: Manage all project phases from planning to completion, aligning with client goals and specifications.
• Sales / Business Development: Leverage network contacts to expand Menard’s presence in Alberta and support business development.
• Contract Management: Lead negotiations and oversee contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure obligations are met.
• Engineering: Review engineering drawings prepared by peers or junior staff.
• Strategic Planning: Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring resource efficiency and adherence to deadlines.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor project teams, including project managers, engineers, and subcontractors, to foster collaboration and high performance.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations through regular inspections and audits.
• Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and prepare financial reports to keep projects within financial targets.
• Sustainability Practices: Incorporate sustainable and innovative practices into project execution to reduce environmental impact.

The ideal candidate has:

• A Civil or Geotechnical Engineering Degree (PEng)
• At least 8 years of management experience in civil construction
