Job description

Toromont Cat is seeking a Branch Manager to join our team at Brooklin. The Branch Manager is a pivotal role, accountable for ensuring the integrity, sustainability and profitability of Toromont’s new Brooklin Operation including Parts, Service and Equipment. This critical leadership role will also participate in sales efforts to grow market share and POPs through the nurturing of trusted customer relationships, ensuring consistently superior customer experiences and the cultivation of inspiring, positive experiences.

Compensation

$124,425 - $155,533

The listed base salary is just one component of our total rewards package, and performance-based or discretionary bonuses may be available.

In a typical day, YOU will:
  • Model the way for safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
  • Establish the recruiting requirements to build the new team across our equipment, parts and service operations
  • Support Facilities team on branch opening requirements and process design
  • Engage with Marketing team on local promotion and build brand and capability awareness in the marketplace
  • Work in partnership with other Branch Leaders to ensure a smooth transition of roles and responsibilities as well as Customer relationships.
  • Collaborate in the development of yearly branch objectives aligned with Toromont’s 3-Year journey. Set appropriate goals and accountabilities to ensure that these objectives are met.
  • Proactively develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Lead Equipment Sales and Parts teams and work with the Regional Product Support Sales Manager in the achievement of sales business goals
  • Provide administrative and policy guidance to Product Support Managers and Supervisors on Toromont and Caterpillar policies to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Track assets employed and use them efficiently in the achievement of branch ROA targets
  • Work with the Credit Team to optimize cash flow and manage branch financial risks
  • Review, monitor, and act on financial reporting information and other business metrics steering the team to measured success
  • Develop, implement and maintain continuous improvements in the branch
  • Inspire and coach the team to achieve their personal and corporate objectives and to maintain a high level of engagement and morale.
Must-haves for this role:
  • Highly safety conscious and 5+ years experience in Leadership Roles within the heavy equipment industry
  • Proven leadership, coaching, mentoring and people development skills
  • Strategic thinker, with excellent negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Mindset for continuous improvement, adept with leading change, and solid business acumen with the ability to oversee the financial operations of the branch
  • Customer centric with strong interpersonal skills and relationship building capacity at all levels
  • Superior planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple and often competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Willing and able to travel with regular extended staysin support of the business needs and time between branches
  • A valid Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract
