Branch Manager – MountPearl Branch
Sansom Equipment Limited is the leadingdistributor and service provider for generators, engines, pumps, blowers,valves, variable frequency drives and packaged engineered systems forindustrial and municipal applications across Atlantic Canada.
We are seeking a results-driven Branch Manager tolead our Mount Pearl Branch, overseeing integrated sales support, parts, andfield/shop service operations. Reporting to the Vice President, this role isaccountable for overall branch performance, including financial results,operational efficiency, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
P&L Ownership & Performance
- Lead overall branch operations with fullaccountability for P&L performance.
- Develop and execute annual operating plans andbudgets.
- Monitor performance metrics and driveprofitability improvements across all departments.
- Lead a culture of accountability and continuousimprovement.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Manage branch budgeting, forecasting, andreporting.
- Oversee service order accuracy, billing, andcost tracking.
- Support accounts receivable and collections incoordination with sales and finance.
- Ensure adherence to pricing, quoting, andapproval processes.
Operations Management
- Oversee daily branch operations, includinginventory management, parts department performance, equipment and servicecoordination, and logistics
- Ensure efficient workflows, resource allocation,and high productivity.
- Drive operational consistency and adherence tocompany standards.
- Work closely with the Service Manager to ensurehigh standards of workmanship, quality, and efficiency.
Customer Experience & Account Support
- Build relationships with key customers withinthe assigned region.
- Act as escalation point for complex equipment,service, or delivery issues.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality customer serviceacross all departments.
Sales Alignment
- Align branch operations with corporate salesstrategies, targets, and initiatives.
- Work closely with the Vice President and salesteam (inside & outside) to support sales execution and customercommitments.
- Participate in joint customer calls whenrequired.
- Collaborate on forecasting, inventory planning,and pricing alignment to drive revenue and margin performance.
- Provide feedback to corporate and salesleadership on market conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional teamacross sales, service, parts, and operations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork,and customer-focused performance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provideongoing feedback, and support individual development plans.
- Identify skill gaps and support training intechnical, sales, and operational competencies.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retentionof high-performing team members.
- Drive engagement and alignment across teams toensure consistent execution communication.
Safety & Compliance
- Lead a strong safety culture across shop andfield operations.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory andcompany standards.
- Oversee safe work practices for mechanical,electrical, and marine applications.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams across salessupport, service, and operations.
- Strong financial acumen (P&L responsibilityrequired).
- Experience working in a multi-branch environmentin industrial supply, distribution, or a related field.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, andproblem-solving skills.
