Job summary

Canadian Energy, a SOLV4EX Company, is seeking a Branch Associate to support warehouse operations, customer service, and driving tasks in Medicine Hat, AB. You will assist customers in selecting products, process invoices, and help manage inventory using NetSuite, while upholding safety policies and providing excellent service.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule (8am–5pm) with Health & Dental Benefits and growth opportunities within a 100% Canadian-owned company.

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service and able to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Commitment to safety and proper material handling practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a team.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence required.
  • Forklift experience is an asset and beneficial.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and provide a driver’s abstract.

Responsibilities

  • Manage invoices and customer accounts in NetSuite; process orders and fulfillment.
  • Perform shipping/receiving duties, inventory counts, labeling, and general warehouse upkeep.
  • Drive company van to deliver products or pick up scrap or merchandise.
  • Uphold safety policies and proper material handling procedures at all times.
  • Operate forklift when required and assist with warehousing tasks.

About the position:

The Branch Associate will be responsible for warehouse, customer service, and driving duties. We are looking for someone who is interested in learning about Canadian Energy products and representing the Canadian Energy brand. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work with customers to select the Canadian Energy product that is best for their needs. Each customer's needs are unique, and the successful candidate will need to be comfortable using their product knowledge to find creative solutions with customers. This position is a great opportunity for the selected candidate to work on a wide variety of tasks and gain valuable experience in customer service, office administration, invoicing, inventory organization and warehousing. Experience in these areas provides foundational knowledge that can be applied to various expanded career paths.

As a Canadian Energy team member, a typical week will include the following:
  • Operations. Assist with administration i.e., issue invoices and manage customer accounts in Company ERP system (NetSuite) including order-taking, order-entry and order fulfillment.
  • Shipping and Receiving. Assist in all aspects of warehouse duties including labeling of product, preparation of shipping documentation, inventory counts and general cleanup/maintenance. Depending on business needs, this position may require loading and unloading trucks/trailers as well as putting away stock and picking orders.
  • Driving. Drive company van to deliver products and/or pick up scrap or returned merchandise.
  • Safety. Consistently uphold all company culture, health and safety, security and operational policies and procedures. Proficient knowledge of safe material handling techniques.
  • Equipment. Safely operate power and manual lift equipment. This position will be required to drive a forklift at times.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Location: This position is located in Medicine Hat, AB.

Requirements:
  • Able to consistently and safely lift 50 pounds.
  • Class 5 Drivers License.
  • Developed customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately follow direction.
  • Experience working with a forklift is an asset.
  • The ability to pass a background check and provide a driver’s abstract.
