Job description

Consolidated Gypsum Supply Ltd. is an Alberta based building supply distribution company serving builders and contractors in Western Canada. We are currently recruiting for a Branch Administrator to join our team at our busy Edmonton – West location.

The Branch Administrator is responsible for the following duties:

  1. Process branch paperwork (packing slip, invoicing, etc.)
  2. Review and correct costing of all inventory POs and transfers
  3. Monitor and data entry of warehouse and delivery damages, as well as sales promotion items on a weekly basis and month end
  4. Monitor and investigate inventory discrepancies
  5. File customer invoices, packing slips, transfers, supplier returns and adjustment batches
  6. Conduct regular inventory cycle counts along with Branch/Ops Manager
  7. Order branch stationery and supplies
  8. Maintain accuracy of company forms for Sales and Operations departments.
  9. Coordinate inventory record of all computer and electronic equipment with IT within the branch.
  10. Coordinate with vendors for maintenance/cleaning of office equipment as required
  11. Reconcile petty cash and maintain petty cash balance and float for the cash registers.
  12. Prepare bank deposits and take them to the bank
  13. Participate in and record minutes for Branch manager meetings
  14. Generate reports for insufficient and inventory control
  15. Prepare and approve time sheets for warehouse and delivery personnel and forward to Payroll dept.
  16. Comply with Consolidated Gypsum Supply’s safety regulations, policies and procedures
  17. Other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Minimum two years warehouse administration experience preferably in the building supply industry
  2. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  4. Ability to prioritize tasks based on relative importance and urgency
  5. Attention to detail and accuracy
  6. Ability to work overtime to accommodate for monthly inventory cycle counts
  7. Reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence
