Job summary

JobsMedia.io in Drummondville, Canada is seeking a skilled machine operator to set up, start, and monitor manufacturing equipment. You will train staff, read blueprints, and ensure workmanship meets specifications while following health and safety rules.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in pulp and paper industry preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Understand health and safety regulations and practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and start up/shut down equipment.
• Train staff and supervise operation of machinery.
• Monitor machine operation and report malfunctions.
• Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ensure safety standards and health regulations are followed.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Transport materials as needed.
