We are seeking a highly motivated Boom Truck Operator to transport materials to job sites and place them at requested locations at our Sidney, BC location. Shifts are Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 3pm, with hourly pay ranging from the Tier 1 rate to Tier 3, reflecting experience and qualifications.

The role requires a Class 1 or 3 license with air brakes, a Level A crane ticket (min. 1 year), forklift certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driving license with air brakes endorsement required.
• Crane ticket Level A with at least 1 year experience.
• Clean driving record/abstract required.
• Forklift certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics.
• Basic hand tool skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre-trip truck inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Transport loads following road rules and represent the company.
• Maintain truck cleanliness inside and out.
• Verify load security and accuracy.
• Deliver materials to customers with safety and efficiency.
• Operate boom/mobile crane safely during loading/unloading.
• Communicate with customers and other trades on sites.
• Coordinate with dispatch to resolve issues.
• Prepare trucks for reload and assist warehouse staff.
• Follow regulations and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position Summary

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Boom Truck Operator. The Boom Truck Operator transports products to job sites and places these materials in requested work locations. The shifts are Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm and the wage range is $30.50 - $39.50 per hour (Tier 1; $30.50 - $33.50, Tier 2; $33.50 - $36.50, Tier 3; $36.50 - $39.50).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip truck inspections and notify when maintenance is needed.
• Transport loads in a professional manner, following the road rules and representing the company to the highest standards.
• Ensure cleanliness of truck interior and exterior.
• Verify load security and accuracy.
• Deliver materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety, service, and efficiency.
• Safe operation of the boom/ mobile crane while loading and unloading.
• Communicate with customers and other trades on construction sites.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed.
• Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
• Sitting and driving for long periods.
• Frequently climbing up and downstairs.
• Pulling, pushing, bending, and torso twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site.
