Description

At Lufa Farms, we’re on a mission to create a better food system by growing food where people live and growing it more sustainably. We built the world’s first commercial rooftop greenhouse and partner with local farms and food makers to offer fresh, responsible food to our customers. As our company expands, we’re looking for a Bookkeeping Clerk who is excited about improving the current food system. The Bookkeeping Clerk will assist our Accounting and Administration departments with invoicing, preparing financial statements, and other bookkeeping tasks. If you’re an independent problem solver with strong organizational skills, you’ll thrive in this role!

Responsibilities
  1. Verify and file source documents, such as invoices and receipts;
  2. Record financial transactions in the company’s books;
  3. Collect and analyze financial data;
  4. Track and maintain inventory records;
  5. Maintain internal control systems;
  6. Manage accounts payable and receivable;
  7. Assist with the year-end audit process;
  8. Ensure compliance with reporting requirements;
  9. Prepare batch payments;
  10. Maintain a comprehensive filing system for financial records.
Requirements
  • DEC or accounting certificate;
  • Experience in accounting practices;
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting standards;
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements;
  • Proficiency in data management and financial analysis;
  • Proficient with Google Suite and Excel;
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, with strong planning and organizational skills;
  • Independent problem solver;
  • Excellent English and French skills.
Assets
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite;
  • Experience with Excel or Google Suite.
Schedule

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
