Bookkeeper, ease Cloud Accounting Services

Join our empowered team at MNP, a leading Canadian accounting, tax, and business advisory firm. We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper for our ease Cloud Accounting Services team. In this role, you will utilize cutting-edge technology to provide services such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and payroll administration, helping clients navigate a rapidly evolving business landscape.

Responsibilities

• Assist with full cycle bookkeeping and payroll functions for clients
• Prepare and maintain payroll and related government filings, record sales, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, and WCB transactions
• Set up client files and support budget and administrative planning
• Maintain and reconcile GL accounts, including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, and POS/system uploads
• Identify issues, investigate discrepancies, and develop resolutions in collaboration with supervisors
• Communicate with government agencies regarding information requests and assessments
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members

Skills and Experience

• Certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is an asset
• At least 1 year of full cycle bookkeeping experience
• Experience with cloud accounting software such as QBO and Xero is required
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and processes
• Knowledge of sales taxes, payroll taxes, and corporate tax
• Desktop bookkeeping software experience is beneficial
