As a Bookkeeper, you will be an integral part of our team, with opportunities to contribute not only to our clients' day-to-day accounting needs but also to the ongoing development and modernization of our bookkeeping practice.

What you will be responsible for:
  • Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities using cloud-based accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online and Xero, as well as QuickBooks Desktop where applicable.
  • Performing transaction classification, general ledger maintenance, bank and credit card reconciliations, HST filings, WSIB filings, and payroll processing.
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate monthly financial records, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Following up with clients regarding outstanding information, documentation, and filing deadlines.
  • Communicating with the Canada Revenue Agency regarding inquiries and correspondence relating to client matters.

  • Leveraging AI-powered applications, automation tools, and modern accounting technologies to streamline repetitive tasks and improve bookkeeping workflows.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate and improve existing processes, including transaction processing, reconciliations, document management, and client communications.
  • Participating in the testing, implementation, and refinement of new software, AI tools, and automated workflows.
  • Collaborating with team members to develop scalable, technology-driven bookkeeping processes while maintaining appropriate review procedures and quality controls.
What you will bring to KSSP Partners LLP:
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Previous experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably within a public accounting firm.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, or Xero.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence interacting directly with clients.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a willingness to take ownership of responsibilities.
  • A genuine interest in technology, artificial intelligence, and the evolving role of automation within accounting and bookkeeping.
  • An innovative mindset, with an interest in challenging traditional processes and finding smarter, more efficient ways of working.
  • Comfort learning new applications, experimenting with emerging technologies, and adapting to changing workflows.
  • A collaborative attitude and enthusiasm for contributing ideas that improve both internal operations and the client experience.

Experience with bookkeeping automation platforms, AI-powered accounting applications, or workflow automation tools would be considered an asset, but is not required. We place significant value on curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
