Job summary

Baker Tilly Canada is seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team. You will provide bookkeeping services for external clients, enter monthly transactions, reconcile AP/AR, and prepare payroll and monthly reports.

The role requires 3+ years in a similar position, proficiency with QuickBooks/Sage, and strong communication skills. Asset items include CPB certification, Caseware knowledge, and bilingualism.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in a similar role.
• CPB (Certified Professional Bookkeeper) certification would be an asset
• Knowledge of Caseware / Caseview would be an asset
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software

Responsibilities

• Enter monthly transactions and reconcile accounts payable.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and bank accounts.
• Prepare payroll and monthly financial reports.
• Conduct Government Reporting and other duties as required

Your role

• Provide bookkeeping services to external clients, with primary responsibilities including:
  • Entering monthly transactions
  • Reconciling accounts payable
  • Reconciling accounts receivable
  • Preparing payroll
  • Reconciling bank accounts
  • Preparing monthly financial reports
  • Government Reporting
  • Other duties and projects as required

What you bring to the table

• Proficiency in MS Office, QuickBooks and/or Sage
• Three or more years of experience in a similar role
• CPB (Certified Professional Bookkeeper) certification would be an asset
• Knowledge of Caseware / Caseview would be an asset
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
