Job summary

St. Michaels University School in Victoria, BC seeks two part-time Health Centre Nurses to support boarding students (Grades 9–12). Reporting to the Head Nurse, you’ll provide first aid, administer medications, and coordinate with the school doctor and other health professionals.

The role requires a current BC nursing license, at least two years of related experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Flexible day/evening shifts and on-call coverage are expected.

Qualifications

• Current good-standing membership with BC College of Nursing Professionals.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience.
• BSN or LPN diploma from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care including first aid and medication administration.
• Attend to injured or ill boarding students on campus.
• Refer to the school doctor and liaise with outside medical specialists.
• Provide preventative health care and health education seminars.
• Liaise with community health professionals and counselors.
• Maintain emergency equipment and electronic medical records.
• Assist with on-call shifts and flexible scheduling.
