Job summary

Blind Magic Window Coverings is seeking a meticulous Blinds / Window Covering Repair Tech to service residential and commercial clients. You will diagnose, repair, and install a range of window treatments and communicate repair plans clearly to customers.

This role emphasizes independent work and teamwork across site visits, with an emphasis on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. In-person work in Edmonton region is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English communication for clarity on making sure the repairs are done properly.
• Experience with hand tools, construction projects, carpentry, including a chopsaw.
• Knowledge of window covering systems and repair techniques preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret what caused the problem and what needs to be repaired.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Prior experience in construction or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues with blinds, shades, and other window coverings using schematics and technical diagrams.
• Repair or replace damaged components such as cords, slats, mechanisms, and hardware using hand tools and construction skills.
• Read blueprints and schematics to accurately assess repair needs and implement solutions.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Blinds / Window Covering Repair Tech to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and servicing a variety of window coverings for both residential and commercial clients. Your expertise will help ensure our customers enjoy perfectly functioning window treatments that enhance their spaces.

Warehouse duties

• shipping and receiving of window covering boxes from Purolator and trucking companies.
• Packaging of blinds to be shipped externally.
• Prior experience in warehouse or related fields is a plus.

Installer Helper

• Opportunity to provide assistance on site for our in-house install installation crew.
