POSITION: Bistro Server
LOCATION: See Ya Later Ranch, Okanagan Falls, BC
STATUS: Seasonal Hourly Contract (April – November) Full and Part-Time positions
COMPENSATION: $18-20/hr plus gratuities
THE OPPORTUNITYAs a See Ya Later Ranch Patio Restaurant & Event Server, you create the atmosphere for the dining experience our guests remember. From the moment they arrive, you have a direct impact on the lasting memories by helping guests relax and enjoy the beautiful view from our Patio while enjoying our award-winning wines & unforgettable food.
DAILY LIFE- Welcome and engage guests in a friendly and enthusiastic way.
- Server duties include but are not limited to knowledge of menu ingredients and daily specials, take food and drink orders, enter orders into computer, prepare drink orders, deliver food and drink orders, prepare checks, collect payments.
- Additionally, event service includes but is not limited to table service, food service, bar service, set-up and tear down of event site (table, chairs, linens, glass-, flat- and dinnerware).
Requirements- 19 years of age or older.
- Serving It Right certificate.
- Must possess a passion for people, wine, food and the hospitality industry.
- WSET or ISG considered an asset but not mandatory.
- Detail oriented, multitasking ability and strong work ethic required – individually and as part of a team.
- Courteous, friendly, positive attitude.
- Able to lift 40lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work weekends throughout the season.
