Duration: 4, 8, or 12 months

Salary Range: $3,650 - $4,525 CAD per month

We have developed a ground-breaking medical device for the diagnosis and treatment of the most common heart rhythm disorder, atrial fibrillation – which can cause stroke, heart failure, and other heart-related complications .

Kardium’s mission is to deliver the best treatment for atrial fibrillation. To achieve this, we have developed The Globe Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.

We have now completed our pivotal clinical study and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.

As a member of the testing team, you will apply your analytical skills and knowledge of mechanical systems, chemistry, and biology to ensure that our next generation Globe Mapping and Ablation System is suitably clean, sterile, biocompatible, and effective. Working closely with a collaborative and dedicated team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in the development, commercialization, and on-going support of an innovative and highly complex medical device.

Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Meaningful work you will be a part of

You will engage in activities that develop practical and transferable skills such as:

  • Developing and executing formal tests to evaluate the efficacy of cleaning processes, optimize production processes, and validate test methods
  • Performing preparation of test articles and documenting the process steps
  • Gathering, interpreting, and reporting on data to support biological safety evaluations
  • Communicating with external test facilities and interpreting external lab reports
  • Analyzing data using statistical methods in Excel and Minitab
  • Authoring test protocols and reports to support regulatory submissions
  • Working with teams across the company, including risk, quality, and design engineers, to assess process or design changes and resolve root cause investigations
