Position Summary
Are you a registered Biomedical Engineering Technologist looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Biomedical Engineering department.
In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Biomedical Engineering Technologist provides services in the facility they work from and travels throughout Northern Health to perform technical functions related to the Biomedical Engineering Program. These include evaluating new equipment, ensuring safety, repairing, performing inspections and tests, maintaining records, and providing clinical staff with educational support and technical information. They report to a lead technologist and collaborate with colleagues in Biomed and ITS to serve Northern Health staff.
University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) is the largest Acute Care facility within the Northern Health region, serving as a hub for specialized health services and education, including undergraduate physician training, residency programs, and clinical education for various health sciences students. Since 2001, UHNBC has seen nearly $100 million in expansions and upgrades, including an emergency room expansion, ICU updates, a state-of-the-art maternal-child care centre, MRI unit, and more.
