Lower Bucks Hospital is a community hospital serving the Lower Bucks County region with medical, surgical, and emergency care. Located in historic Bristol, Pennsylvania, the hospital is well-known for its knowledgeable medical staff, including cardiology, orthopedics, radiology, wound care, and general surgery. The hospital has more than 200 physicians on staff, as well as another 700 employees.
The Insurance Biller is responsible for billing all insurance companies, workers' compensation carriers, and HMO/PPO carriers. Audits patient accounts to ensure procedures and charges are coded accurately and corrects billing errors. Able to identify stop-loss claims, implants, and missing codes. Maintains proficiency in Medical Terminology. The Insurance Biller is responsible for follow-up on insurance balances as needed to ensure timely payment from insurance companies. Communicates clearly and efficiently by phone and in person with clients and staff. Maintains productivity standards and reports. Obtains updated demographic and necessary information to comply with insurance billing requirements. Operates computer to input follow-up notes and retrieve collection and patient information. Writes effective appeals to insurance companies.
