Job summary

John Brooks Company is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Laval to support picking, packing and shipping. You will operate a vertical lift system, manage stock, and assist with inventory tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires forklift experience (Reach or Counterbalance) with certification, RF scanner skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. A strong team player with attention to detail is essential for timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain management (or related field) OR 2 years warehouse/distribution experience.
  • Essential: Forklift experience (Reach or Counterbalance) and certificate required.
  • Essential: Strong reading & writing skills; read pick tickets and packing slips and process promptly.
  • Essential: Ability to read, understand and prepare shipping documents including waybills, B.O.L., and shipping labels.
  • Essential: Experience with courier companies (Purolator, DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.).
  • Essential: Basic mathematical skills.
  • Essential: Proven accuracy and attention to detail; extremely important.
  • Essential: Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Essential: Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Essential: Solid computer skills.
  • Essential: Complete daily assignments, meet deadlines with accuracy, and demonstrate urgency.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are currently searching for a Warehouse Associate to work in our Laval office! Under the supervision of our Warehouse Supervisor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Order picking, packing and stock replenishment
  • Check and receive or ship inbound/outbound orders accurately
  • Process packing slips and required documents
  • Process courier freight bill of ladings and required shipping documents
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices at all times
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Operate and maintain the vertical storage system for parts, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval processes.
  • Coordinate with warehouse team members to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines for order picking. Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management tasks such as cycle counting and stock replenishment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, including the area dedicated to the vertical storage system.
  • Assist in picking, packaging, labeling, preparing for shipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to streamline warehouse operations and enhance overall efficiency.
