Job summary

The Ontario Public Service (OPS) East Region Victim/Witness Assistance Program (VWAP) is seeking a collaborative leader to manage a multi-site team across Brockville, Cornwall, and L’Orignal. This temporary role (up to 12 months) requires strong French language skills and the ability to supervise staff delivering trauma-informed, client-centered services to victims and witnesses in diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Mandatory: Superior ability for oral and written communication in French.
• Experience leading, mentoring, coaching, and supporting staff in a service‑focused environment.
• Ability to foster an inclusive, respectful, and accountable workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing teams with coaching, guidance, and performance management.
• Build strong community and justice sector partnerships across courts, police services, Crown attorneys, Indigenous partners, and community organizations.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership by overseeing daily program operations, setting priorities, and allocating resources.
• Navigate complex and sensitive situations with sound judgement and professional boundaries.
• Champion service excellence and continuous improvement to enhance client outcomes and program performance.
• Manage regional programs and resources while ensuring compliance with ministry policies and service standards.
