Epiroc is seeking a Bilingual Technical Trainer to deliver mechanical and operator training at Westwood Mine near Rouyn-Noranda or Odyssey Mine in Malartic, Quebec. This full-time role involves on-site training, hands-on instruction, and mentoring for customers and on-site technicians.

The successful candidate will cover simulator-based, theoretical, and practical training while maintaining meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Mining related education or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years experience with mining products, especially Epiroc underground equipment.
• Strong English and French communication skills preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office and presentations.
• Ability to train and mentor customers and internal staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform Mechanical and Operator training.
• Prepare training material and evaluations.
• Provide simulator, theoretical and practical training for external and internal customers.
• Provide aid and assistance with technical issues and mentor on site technicians.
• Establish a working relationship with customers / sales team / service team / technical services.
• Ensure training aligns with machines’ best practices and outcomes.
• Maintain training documentation and records for all participants.
• Record daily time entries and produce weekly reports.

Join Our Team as a Bilingual Technical Trainer at Epiroc!

We are currently seeking a Bilingual Technical Trainer to join our growing Training Department.The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Mechanical and Operator Training at Westwood Mine, located near Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, or Odyssey Mine in Malartic Quebec, on a full-time basis (schedule to be determined). This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technical professional who is passionate about developing others and supporting our customers through high-quality, hands-on training. Current fleet at Westwood Mine are Boltec, Simba's and ST1030. Current fleet at Odyssey mine for MH are ST18's and MT65's and for TME are M2C's, Cabletec, M20's, Easer L, Boltec M10's and SimbaE60's

Responsibilities:

• Perform Mechanical and Operator training.
• Prepare training material and evaluations.
• To provide simulator, theoretical and practical training for external and internal customers
• Provide aid and assistance with technical issues and mentor on site technicians.
• Establish a working relationship with customers / sales team / service team / technical services
• Ensure that delivered training is meeting machines best practices and fulfills outcome requirements.
• Maintain and update proper training documentation and record database for all training participants.
• Daily time entry and weekly report

Knowledge/Education:

• Mining related education and or work equivalent
• 3-5 years experience working with the products
• Experience with Epiroc underground mining equipment. Both LHD and TME.
• Experience in and have a strong knowledge of mining best practices
• Good computer skills including but not limited to; Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Office.
• A proven self-starter who requires minimum supervision.
• Good written and spoken communication skills.
• Bilingual with strong French language preferred
• Outstanding people skills, ambitious and patient
• A strong technical background
• Good communication skills with both external & internal customers is a very big part of this position.
• We would be providing the individuals with the proper training and mentoring required to perform these duties proficiently.
