Job description

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for managing a high-volume recruitment process, including building strong applicant pipelines through sourcing and pre-screening to meet staffing forecasts. Focus and determination are critical to ensure the business meets its staffing goals. This role involves developing innovative solutions to attract top talent, enhancing the candidate and employee experience, promoting retention, and driving digitization, system integration, and high self-service adoption within Liebherr-Canada Ltd. The successful candidate will focus on building a higher profile in IT systems and processes, maintaining strong relationships, and representing Liebherr-Canada Ltd. in all Talent Acquisition topics, including collaboration with Liebherr International, marketing, campaign reporting, and ROI analysis. The role will hold the budget for marketing, including personnel, licenses, and IT, and will be the overall process owner for all Talent Acquisition areas.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the recruitment process from job posting to onboarding, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
  • Support all hiring managers, with recruitment responsibilities accounting for up to 70% of the role.
  • Manage a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists to achieve delivery targets and SLAs, providing objectives, direction, and feedback.
  • Represent the company at external events such as industry conferences and career fairs.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand talent needs and create positive candidate experiences, ensuring equal opportunity.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the overall candidate and employee experience, from initial contact to onboarding and beyond.
  • Create onboarding programs that promote integration and smooth transitions.
  • Regularly solicit and analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategies to promote employee retention and engagement.
  • Work with HR to assess employee satisfaction and improve the work environment.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement retention initiatives.
  • Leverage data and analytics to improve talent quality and communication.
  • Stay informed on market trends to develop effective resourcing plans.
  • Develop employer branding and social media strategies to attract candidates and position Liebherr as an employer of choice.
  • Increase diversity in talent pipelines through targeted recruitment strategies and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws in talent management, immigration, and onboarding processes.
  • Monitor and report on recruitment metrics and KPIs to drive improvements.
  • Stay updated on employment law and immigration regulations, collaborating with legal experts as needed.

Competencies

  • 5-10 years of experience in consulting, strategy, stakeholder engagement, HR, talent management, or project management.
  • At least 5 years of leadership and people management experience, managing diverse teams.
  • Bilingual in English and French preferred.
  • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Economics, Human Resources, or Talent Management.
  • Proven ability to lead complex programs, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
