Job summary

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) is seeking a Bilingual Senior Specialist in Software Engineering to lead the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM platform design and delivery. You will mentor teammates, translate business requirements into scalable CRM solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize CMHC’s CRM capabilities.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a software developer with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Responsibilities

• Be CMHC’s leading expert on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform and mentor other developers.
• Collaborate with the client community to determine system needs and document processes.
• Author technical specifications and diagrams for new/existing solutions.
• Design and implement Dynamics CRM solutions per requirements with high-quality code.
• Create/ configure CRM forms, entities, fields, views, workflows; design extensions.
• Configure integrations with CMHC ERP (D365 FO) and Azure components.
• Participate in testing, defect resolution and deployment activities; stay updated on new features.

About the role

Join the Business Solutions Engineering team, in the Senior Specialist, Software Engineering (Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM) position, where the next generations of software applications are being developed to enable CMHC to achieve its mission. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of innovative software solutions. You will act as a point of contact for all stakeholders to ensure business requirements are understood and met, all while supporting continuous improvement through CMHC’s CRM platform.

CMHC is committed to continuously improving our IT services and operational efficiency. The addition of new IT roles is a strategic move to bolster our capabilities and ensure we can meet the evolving needs of our clients and stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

• Be CMHC’s leading expert on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform, while also guiding and advising other developers in their work by providing mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with the client community to determine their system needs, document the current and proposed business processes, and advise clients of the proposed solutions and their impacts.
• Author technical specification documents and diagrams for new and existing solutions.
• Design and implement Microsoft Dynamics CRM solutions according to business requirements, ensuring high-quality code standards and the delivery of efficient, scalable solutions.
• Create and configure Microsoft Dynamics CRM forms, entities, fields, views, and workflows. Design and customize extensions (plugins) to add new features to the core platform.
• Configure integrations with other CMHC systems, such as the ERP system (Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations) and other Azure components such as Function Apps, Logic Apps, APIs.
• Participate in the testing and defect resolution process and deployment activities.
• Stay updated on new Dynamics 365 features, best practices, and industry trends to continually improve system capabilities.

What you should have:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a software developer and strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform.
• A demonstrated experience as a Subject Matter Expert, providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge, and to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• A strong ability to establish and apply development best practices.
• A passion for technology and motivation that is driven by technical challenges and innovation.
• A desire to continuously grow your expertise through learning and professional development.
• A previous experience working in an Agile environment, with the ability to solve complex problems and engage in challenging projects.
• Proven interpersonal, leadership and business competencies, including teamwork, facilitation, communication, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Bilingual (English and French).

Technologies:

• A working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics interoperability, integration and capability with other Microsoft cloud technologies.
• Good knowledge of agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git, SQL and Relational Database management systems.
• An experience with cloud Azure platform, Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
• An overall experience with Microsoft Power Platform.

It would be great if you also had:

• A Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Certification.
