Job summary

Public Service Alliance of Canada in Montréal seeks a Regional Representative to strengthen union solidarity by delivering regional programs and services under supervision. You will work with a regional team, the Regional Council, and area councils to advance collective goals.

The role requires significant experience in the labour movement, knowledge of PSAC structures, and the ability to communicate in English with a diverse workforce within a bilingual environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in the labour and/or social justice movement.
• Knowledge of union structures and PSAC political context.
• Proficient with basic computer technology.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to union principles and social justice.
• Analyze, apply, explain, and interpret collective agreements and policies.
• Inspire, motivate, and organize groups to achieve collective goals.
• Design and facilitate union education courses following popular education.
• Develop union education materials.
• Communicate orally and in writing in English with diverse workers.
• Develop and implement strategic plans.
• Demonstrate good problem solving and conflict resolution.
• Collaborate in teamwork under sometimes stressful, sensitive conditions.
