Agilus is recruiting for a Bilingual Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Location: Calgary, Montreal, or Mississauga, Ontario.

The Bilingual Payroll & Benefits Specialist will ensure timely and accurate payroll processing across provinces, meeting all goals and deadlines.

A typical day:

1. Ensure comprehensive management of employee benefits, providing support, guidance, and processing.
2. Generate weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports.
3. Prepare, collect, and verify payroll for both salaried and hourly employees, including union and non-union workers.
4. Identify and address payroll discrepancies promptly to ensure accuracy.
5. Liaise with department managers and internal teams to streamline payroll operations and enhance communication.
6. Handle various projects related to payroll and benefits, ensuring smooth execution and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate brings:

1. Bilingual in French and English.
2. A post-secondary degree in administration, business, or human resources.
3. At least 2 years of experience in processing payroll across multiple provinces within a large organization, including unionized environments.
4. Experience processing payroll for 300 to 400 employees.
5. PCP designation in-process or completed (asset).
6. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Outlook, and spreadsheets, particularly MS Excel.
7. Understanding of payroll regulations and employment laws at provincial and federal levels in Canada.
8. Familiarity with industry-standard payroll systems.
