The Work

The Manager, Commercial Servicing and Administration, is responsible for managing and supervising the Commercial Servicing and Administration department to ensure optimal service, efficiency, and effectiveness by adhering to policies, meeting compliance requirements, and achieving service goals.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Review and approve various advances, discharges, PPSA renewals, etc.
  2. Support the Senior Manager with investor-related servicing transactions.
  3. Assist the syndication team with partner remittances and inquiries.
  4. Ensure follow-up on undertakings and holdbacks.
  5. Prioritize and assign tasks to team members.
  6. Maintain excellent customer service levels.
  7. Prepare reports for senior management.
  8. Support team development through training, performance reviews, and engagement initiatives.
  9. Participate in management and department meetings.
  10. Assist with special projects, including platform implementations.
  11. Create complex Excel spreadsheets and perform account reconciliations.
  12. Communicate with external and internal stakeholders to ensure service quality and policy adherence.
  13. Support reporting and compliance within the Credit & Risk Department.

Disbursement of Funds

Ensure files are compliant before signing cheques and disbursing funds accurately.

Projects

Assist with department initiatives, including servicing builds and platform implementations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ mortgage experience, preferably with management background.
  • Expertise in commercial and specialized finance servicing products.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate, legal documentation, and AML/ATF regulations.
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, with understanding of ledgers and principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Athena, PPLUS; ability to build complex Excel models.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and manage teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual in French is preferred.
