Job description

Bilingual Logistics Coordinator

Overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations of our company, you will coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods. The goal is to ensure smooth operations across various channels, aiming for maximum efficiency. This role involves collaboration within a team environment, with responsibilities focused on enhancing customer and carrier experiences.

Primary Responsibilities of Logistics Coordinator:

  • Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL shipments.
  • Source and evaluate carriers.
  • Respond promptly to spot quotes and customer requests.
  • Be available after hours to assist with resolving issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and customers.
  • Utilize Greenscreens for carrier bids, customer quotes, and lane research.
  • Ensure carriers are qualified in RMIS.
  • Perform tasks with urgency and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide customer solutions.
  • Organize the Spot email inbox for visibility and efficiency.
  • Transition spot quote customers into dedicated accounts.
  • Strive to improve win percentage daily.
  • Follow up with customers for additional lanes and opportunities.
  • Identify and address areas of weakness.
  • Work with leadership and business development to develop cost strategies and proposals.
  • Create and present customer proposals.
  • Maintain professional communication with managers during RFQ processes.
  • Research market trends and competitor pricing.
  • Maintain and improve pricing processes and costs.
  • Manage Greenscreens for rates and quotes.
  • Work towards margin improvements through various methods.
  • Identify and improve weak areas via carrier procurement.
  • Communicate market insights within specified timeframes.
  • Upload carrier and customer rates into the TM system.
