The London Cross Cultural Learner Centre (\"CCLC\") is a London, Ontario–based non-profit organization that provides settlement services for newcomers to Canada. We are currently seeking a full-time (35 hours per week), fixed-term contract Bilingual Language Assessor to join our team at our Windsor location, with a contract running until March 31, 2027.
The Language Assessment & Referral program (LARS) delivers assessments for newcomer clients to determine their French or English language proficiency as prescribed by the Canadian Language Benchmarks. The LARS program is also responsible for referring clients to appropriate Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC)/Course de langue pour les immigrants au Canada (CLIC) or English as a Second Language (ESL)/French as a Second Language (FSL) centers based on the client’s needs.
Reporting to the Manager, Language Assessment & Referrals, the Bilingual Language Assessor conducts language assessments in both English and French using approved tools, determines language levels, and facilitates referrals to appropriate language training programs for eligible newcomers.
