Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Anjou, Quebec, is seeking a Workshop and Laboratory Technician for our R&D Center. You will perform hands-on workshop and lab tasks, including prototype fabrication, sample management, and coordination with the R&D team, while maintaining safety standards.

You’ll work in a bilingual environment (French and English) and handle purchasing, shipping, and invoicing, with opportunities to operate equipment such as forklift, lathe, CNC, and CAD drawing tools like

Qualifications

• DEC or DEP in manufacturing, mechanical design, or related field.
• At least 2 years in lab, manufacturing or construction environments.
• Lift 22–28 kg (50–60 lbs) and perform physical work.
• Fluent in French; English required for suppliers and US facilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience operating forklift, lathe, milling, CNC, or similar equipment.
• Ability to create drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Perform workshop and lab tasks including test setup, rapid prototyping, painting, and modeling.
• Coordinate management of samples and prototypes with R&D team and suppliers.
• Maintain organized workshop and ensure health and safety standards.
• Process purchases and manage invoicing activities.
• Operate forklift and support shipping/receiving for projects.
