Job summary

Pembina Trails School Division is seeking an Educational Assistant 1 (EA1) who is fluent in English and French. This role supports inclusive practices, assists students with diverse needs, and collaborates with school staff to foster engagement in learning.

Qualifications

• French and English bilingual ability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work within classroom structures, with established rules and student expectations.
• Assist students with behavioral and learning challenges.
• Provide academic support in classroom, small groups, and one-to-one settings.
• Deliver specialized or adapted programming under teacher direction.
• Document student-specific program performance.
• Support students with challenging educational needs across settings.
• Supervise recess and lunch duties.
• Assist with swim program including entering the water when required.
• Administer student medications as determined by URIS plans.
• Support students in community-based programs and with emotional, behavioral, and physical needs.
• Be flexible in adapting to students' educational programming and use augmentative communication.
