Job summary

Southern Health-Santé Sud is seeking a part-time Health Care Aide for Centre de santé St. Claude Health Centre in St. Claude. The role supports residents in daily living activities under RN/LPN supervision, promoting person-centered care and adhering to PHIA, WHMIS and safety standards.

The position requires Grade 12 and a Health Care Aide Certificate, with bilingual English/French proficiency. Evening and weekend shifts are anticipated, with a 0.6 FTE and in-person work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Acute Care).
• Bilingual English/French is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with activities of daily living (ADLs) under supervision of RN/LPN or team leaders.
• Work within the full scope of practice and maintain competency through ongoing education/certifications.
• Provide person-centered care following Accreditation Canada Standards and PHIA/FIPPA requirements.
• Organize and prioritize workload and teamwork to support residents/patients.
