Position Overview

The Health Services Recruiter manages the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing candidates to onboarding. The role requires excellent communication, negotiation skills, and relationship-building with candidates and hiring managers.

They work with stakeholders to understand needs, fill positions, and build teams for contracts and new business, ensuring Calian attracts and retains qualified healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and candidate qualifications.
  • Participate in proposal and requirements meetings for bid development.
  • Develop recruitment and advertising strategies to attract top talent.
  • Create job postings to attract diverse candidates.
  • Source qualified healthcare professionals via social media, job boards, networks, and referrals.
  • Conduct phone screens, interviews, and reference checks.
  • Coordinate interviews and facilitate offer negotiations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Network with candidates and industry partners.
  • Represent Calian at events and conferences.
  • Visit client sites to understand work environments.
  • Meet recruitment targets and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of recruiting experience, preferably in healthcare or with a business background.
  • Post-secondary education in healthcare preferred.
  • Bilingual in French and English required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with ATS and recruitment tools like LinkedIn and Indeed.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
